Chiacchiere di carnevale (Carnival Chatter)


We have our recipe from the baker at home and are delicious ....


For the dough:

500 gr. of flour 00

4 eggs

a pinch of salt

2 tablespoons of sugar

50 gr. of oil

some cinnamon

To fry:

seed oil

To sprinkle:

powdered sugar

There are various recipes for making small talk, (some even add yeast).


Our recipe is very simple, but the chit-chat I assure you that they are really very good, they are as they used to be, as our grandmothers used to do.


Preparation:

Knead the flour with the eggs, a pinch of salt, sugar, oil and some cinnamon.


Knead with your hands until a smooth dough is obtained.


Divide the dough into several pieces and make very thin sheets (you can also help with the pasta machine).


With the small wheel, cut each sheet into strips about 5 centimeters long and 10 centimeters long and cut into a small center.


Pass the tip of each strip inside the cut out and pull it out to form a kind of knot.


Fry in plenty of boiling oil.


Turn the talk, so that they become golden on the whole surface, remove them from the oil and let them drain on absorbent paper.


Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
